This is an all-Japanese remix project for the album 69/96, released a few months later on 9/6/95 (the original album came out on 6/9/95, get it?).
Nobody really contributes a bad mix, really, but some will be more to the listener's taste than others.
Denki Groove's Yoshinori Sunahara reshapes "Moon Walk" into a laid-back groove, with vocal samples here and there talking about the space race.
It's similar to his mix for Pizzicato Five on Combonaison Spaciale, done about the same time.
Citrus, an interesting band in their own right, submerge "69/96 Girl Meets Cassette" into a loop-heavy pool of echoes, while still maintaining a pop stance.
Yet very rarely does anybody outdo the originals -- only X Japan frontman Hide's remix of "Heavy Metal Thunder" brings more to the mix, in this case, loads more guitar.
And, keeping with the original album, there are 58 tracks of silence before a hidden bonus track shows its face, and another one at 96, which sounds like drunk salaryman at a karaoke house.
Only for fans, this one.
