After an astonishingly prolific 2018 which produced a Top Ten-charting debut album and numerous mixtapes and EPs, Baton Rouge rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again didn't release anything for much of 2019, as he was serving a house arrest sentence following a probation violation.
This clearly built up much fan anticipation for new material, as his first release of the year, mixtape AI YoungBoy 2, became his first to reach the top spot on the Billboard 200.
Additionally, nearly all of the album's songs reached the Hot 100 or Bubbling Under charts.
Featuring production by Mike Will Made It and Wheezy, as well as guest appearances by Quando Rondo and NoCap, the album's 18 tracks address the difficulties YoungBoy faced throughout the year.
