Pianist David Lanz performs a program of his compositions with a couple of ringers thrown in for good measure (Pachelbel's "Canon in D," Procol Harum's "A Whiter Shade of Pale").
Lanz is one of the more expressive pianists in the new age genre, and this set is engaging and at times bracing.
