Another Star in the Sky is dedicated to Arkenstone's mother.
As such, it's an intensely personal album with many beautiful songs.
Arkenstone's approach is similar to that of his previous album, In the Wake of the Wind: keyboards, orchestral instruments, guitars, and percussion woven seamlessly together to create a lovely musical tapestry.
The songs here are more subdued for the most part, many of them having quiet, thoughtful themes.
Arkenstone also sings on several tracks, his voice marked by a swelling choral effect that is powerfully seductive.
There are lots of excellent tracks, but some of the better ones include the rhythmic, moving "Pool of Radiance" and "Taken by the Wind," as well as the powerful "Light in the East" and the quieter, nature-themed "Canyon of the Moon." This is a disc to play as you let your thoughts wander among the stars.
