Pittsburgh native Jackie Evancho released her independent debut album, Prelude to a Dream, in 2010 when she was only ten years old, laying claim to the title of the world's youngest opera singer, and her appearances on the fifth season of NBC's America's Got Talent (she finished second) brought her a huge crossover audience.
This set, her first for Sony Masterworks' Portrait Records and fifth album overall, was produced by Nick Patrick and features a mix of classical pieces, contemporary pop tunes, and a handful of originals.
