According to the liner notes, award-winning composer -- this title is mentioned twice, yet the origin of the award remains a mystery -- Raimond Lap' s Lovely Baby series "is quickly becoming recognized as the most efficient way of stimulating, educating, and entertaining babies." It's hard to argue with that sentiment, as the ten-track collection of lullabies, airs, and minuets by some of the world's most prominent composers features a plethora of insane birds and happy babies gurgling and whistling along to Lap's genteel renditions of Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, and Bach.
Babies will stare blankly through the bars of their cribs and laugh or cry at whatever tickles their fancy as parents parade around the room, "banky" in hand, doing whatever they can to direct the situation back in their favor, and if this includes picking up a copy of Baby Classics, then so be it.
