The prelude to an album, Between Two Evils, is a half-hour EP that sees Aubrey O'Day continue down the stylistic path of Danity Kane.

This is slick, theatrical dance-pop that is more about aggressive pronouncements than bright hooks.

While it's well-made, it's unremarkable, just edgy enough to satisfy the fans who felt O'Day was held back by being part of a Making the Band-generated, Diddy-guided pop group.

Much of the content regards either seduction or rejection, the former of which reaches an explicit level on "Second Call," where she dials an ex for phone sex, only to tell him "Shut up and make me come.".
