1992 was a banner year for German power thrashers Rage.
Just when most punters and pundits had given up on the group as inconsistent, unreliable, outdated has-beens, the trio proceeded to revitalize their career with the unexpected tour de force that was Trapped!.
Then they followed it up with possibly their best EP, Beyond the Wall, the very same year.
Boasting six tracks, most of which measure up with many of those heard on the aforementioned album (see "Bury All Life," "I Want You," and the acoustic version of earlier nugget "Light Into Darkness," in particular), it's almost surprising the band didn't just save them for their next LP.
But Rage were never ones to hoard away their material, and for that you can be thankful on this occasion.
