Known as the youngest professional tenor in the world, French classical crossover artist Amaury Vassili's second album, Cantero, introduced him to a much larger European audience, thanks to its lead single "Sognu" being chosen to represent his country at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest.
The entry place fifteenth, and at one point was tipped to win the competition; it is joined by covers of Andrea Bocelli's "Con Te Partiro," Lucia Dalla's "Caruso," and Sarah Brightman's "Nella Fantasia" on the follow-up to his multi-platinum debut, Vincero which, apart from the French-sung "Les Moulins de Mon Couer," is performed entirely in Italian.
