Her first release since parting with longtime collaborator Arvid Solvang, Norwegian singer/songwriter Maria Mena's fourth studio album, Cause and Effect, features a much more stripped-down acoustic sound than the epic pop/rock of her previous efforts.
Produced by Martin Sjølie, the 2008 follow-up to Apparently Unaffected features the singles "Belly Up," "All This Time," and "I'm in Love," and her cover of Kiss' 1970s classic "I Was Made for Loving You.".
