One of a movement of Korean artists making their name in Japan (though she was initially an international student), Jyongri released her debut album, Close to Fantasy, just a few months after her initial singles.
The album is filled with straightforward J-pop, no holds barred.
Jyongri works her way through a handful of dance-pop numbers as well as a flurry of softer ballads.
Close to Fantasy debuted in the Top 30 on the Oricon charts, and had a CD/DVD combination available with additional music videos for the prime singles on the album.
