Katey Sagal is best known as an actress who has starred in two successful TV series, Married with Children and Sons of Anarchy, as well as providing the voice of Leela on the animated comedy Futurama.
But before she made her mark in television, Sagal was a singer who provided backing vocals for some of the biggest names in the business, including Bette Midler, Bob Dylan, Etta James, and Tanya Tucker.
On the album Covered, Sagal interprets the work of some of her favorite songwriters, including Tom Petty ("Free Fallin'"), Steve Earle ("Goodbye"), Joni Mitchell ("For Free"), Jackson Browne ("For a Dancer"), and Gillian Welch ("Orphan Girl").
