On their debut album Cup Runneth Over, the Arizona trio Gloritone exhibits a knack for capturing the sound of early-'90s alternative -- namely, melodic hard rock and ballads in the vein of Nirvana, filtered through such '80s staples as the Replacements and Husker Du.

As a result, they end up sounding like the Foo Fighters' cousin, which isn't necessarily a bad thing at all.

They haven't quite developed a signature style, but they do replicate the very feeling of classic grunge and they have enough hooks to make it memorable, which all amounts to a solid debut.
