Green make their return as Godflesh on Decline & Fall, their first recording since 2001's Hymn.
Although the album finds Broadrick playing the eight-string guitar he's used with Jesu, the extended range is used to imbue the album with a guttural menace rather than the dissonant complexity of his more melodic solo project.
Although it's been over a decade since the pair have written new material, they've effortlessly slipped back into their old ways, delivering an EP of sludgy, grime-covered industrial metal that feels like a promising preview for their first post-breakup full-length, A World Lit Only by Fire.
