Targeted to die-hard undead heads, for Desperate Measures, rap's answer to Slipknot offer up a patchy compilation, with a few new songs ("Dove and Grenade," "Tear It Up," and "Urgency"), some disposable covers, and six live versions of tracks from their debut record, Swan Songs.
Performed in the gang's usual cocky rap style, the versions of Mötley Crüe's "Shout at the Devil," Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song," and Operation Ivy's "Bad Town" hardly do the originals justice.
The only real redeeming factor is the included DVD, which features footage of the group performing live at the the Sunshine in Albuquerque, NM, and the Marquee in Tempe, AZ.
Apparently, the "six crazy MCs" in V for Vendetta masks have a dedicated following.
