One of the leading bands of the Massachusetts punk scene, Bane was founded in 1995 by guitarist Aaron Dalbec and singer Aaron Bedard, two veterans of the local hardcore/straight edge scene who were looking to make a new and uncompromising musical statement.
Bane's initial demo made it clear they were something outside the ordinary, and three powerful studio albums confirmed their status as one of New England's best and strongest acts.
In 2013, eight years after 2005's The Note, Bane began work on their fifth full-length album; the band also announced that it would be their last recording project.
The final result, Don't Wait Up, appeared in June 2014, and was a fitting final salvo from the band, loaded with tough tunes and powerful messages that pack an additional emotional punch as the band rides into the sunset.
Songs include "Non-Negotiable," "Hard to Find," "What Awaits Us Now," "Lost at Sea," "Final Backwards Glance," and five others.
