Following their epic 2012 return to form We Are One, long-running Hawkwind spin-off project Hawklords quickly regrouped for Dream, a more introspective and deeply thought-out album said by the band to be a commentary on the human condition.
Rooted less in concept and more in rock-solid playing, exploratory synthesizer workouts, and wailing vocals from frontman Ron Tree, the album begins with the sprawling psychedelic burn of "Dream a Dream" and continues from there, through science fiction imagery, churning riffs, and interstellar jamming, culminating with the pulsing noise rock of "Psychic Eyes.".
