Kiko Veneno's most commercially successful solo album, 1992's Échate un Cantecito, received the 20th anniversary deluxe reissue treatment in 2012.
A seminal but erratic artist, Veneno benefited here from the key support of Radio Futura's Santiago Auserón and producer Joe Dworniak, and was thus able to focus his talents for a set that included classics such as "Lobo López," "En un Mercedes Blanco," "Echo de Menos," and "Joselito." The reissue adds a book with Veneno's recollections about the album's difficult genesis; an extra disc with demos, duets, and B-sides; and a DVD with live performances.
