While Consolidated's political consciousness is commendable, they have apparently spent more time on their lyrics than music.
Too frequently, the rhythms are nothing but relentlessly simple, headache-inducing pounding, not subtly textured assaults like Public Enemy.
But when their backing tracks do match the fury of their lyrics, the results are quite powerful; too bad that only happens on a third of the album.
