Portland-based thrash metal unit Toxic Holocaust have spent the majority of their career working in the territory forged by wicked metal masters like Venom and Bathory and spiked-up '80s hardcore.
Down to the Cold War-era paranoia and spite of their album art, the band is equal parts obsessive homage and brilliant update to the sound of the raw thrash that grew in the shadow of Reaganomics.
From the Ashes of Nuclear Destruction collects 22 gems from the band released originally on various lesser releases going as far back as their formation in the late '90s.
Some raw demos and songs from split 7"s showcase a variety of caustic sounds from different phases of the group's development.
