The British techno group Opus III scored with its 1992 debut Mind Fruit, effortlessly weaving Kirsty Hawkshaw's gorgeous vocals, strong pop hooks, and trance grooves into classic club anthems like "It's a Fine Day" and "I Talk to the Wind." Unfortunately, Opus III fails to live up to the promise of the debut with its 1994 sophomore effort Guru Mother.
The album is stylistically similar to Mind Fruit, and it has its fair share of strong tracks, particularly the club hit "When You Made the Mountain," but the material on Guru Mother is generally weaker and unmemorable.
Stick with the debut.
