Released on Valentine's Day of 2018, Heart Break Kodak is rapper Kodak Black's most emotional, reflective mixtape yet, containing 17 songs primarily themed around failed relationships and loneliness.
The release is far more R&B-influenced than his prior work, with the rapper singing more frequently than before.
The only two featured artists on the mixtape are Lil Wayne (on "Codeine Dreaming," previously released on 2017's Project Baby 2: All Grown Up) and Tory Lanez (on "Fuck with You").
Heart Break Kodak debuted in the Top 50 of the Billboard 200 album chart following its release.
