Lisa Lynne is one of the kindest and gentlest souls in the world.
In 2002, she conducted a music program at City of Hope, an internationally famous cancer research center.
When she was home between concert gigs, she'd take her harps to the center near her home in Los Angeles.
She gave workshops and concerts in rooms, halls, and treatment areas.
She says, "I am humbled beyond words at the courageous and brilliant people [at the center]." Lynne wrote most of Hopes and Dreams there, directly from the inspiration that she received.
This is heartfelt music.
It is beautiful and pristine acoustic ambience, worthy of inclusion in any collection.
The pieces range from bright to melancholy to bittersweet.
Lynne's graceful charm and sensitive compositional style belie and compliment her aggressive performing manner.
Even though it is a new CD, this disc merits nine stars.
It is a timeless, peerless, and ageless classic.
