A fine songwriter and tasteful guitarist who possesses a strong, gritty voice, Bobby Womack has been turning out his brand of urban gospel-soul for more than 40 years, beginning with the single "Lookin' for a Love" in 1962.
This set (originally released in 1998 under the title At Home in Muscle Shoals) focuses on his Muscle Shoals sessions from the late '70s and '80s, and while his most famous tracks aren't here, you do get Womack working with the legendary Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, and that's never a bad thing.
