The imported Jim Reeves box set Legends from Camden/BMG contains no extra frills.
What you see is what you get.
No liner notes, personnel, or recording dates.
The only picture of Gentleman Jim is the one on the cover.
However these are 50 original RCA recordings and include all the major hits of the late '50s and early '60s: "Four Walls" (1957), "He'll Have to Go" (1959), "Adios Amigo" (1962), "Welcome to My World" (1964), and "I Guess I'm Crazy" (1964).
Reeves' earliest, most overtly traditional country recordings from the early '50s ("Bimbo" and "Mexican Joe" for instance) aren't represented, but his posthumous hits are here: "Distant Drums" (1966), "Is It Really Over?" (1965), "I Won't Come in While He's There" (1967).
Most will find "The Jim Reeves Medley," which caps the collection, easily forgettable and unnecessary.
