Legends Never Die further illustrates the sharp sculpting work that resulted in the significantly better Welcome to JFK, issued almost exactly a year prior.
This posthumous set has some standouts, like the steely "Legendary," featuring French Montana and Movado, and the crossover-primed "Like This," with Chrisette Michele and Meet Sims, but it's undoubtedly patched together, substandard relative to what preceded it.
Nothing comes close to rivaling "On Your Body" or "Yay." Much of the personnel who contributed to JFK, including producers Blickie Blaze, Remo the Hitmaker, Young Stokes, and Lee on the Beats, is involved here in less illuminating form.
Apart from the few highlights, its appeal is limited to serious Chinx fans.
It increases the size of the rapper's discography but does little to enhance it.
