Much like the band's career, Iced Earth's Live in Ancient Kourion is an example of the kind of endurance and determination it takes to be a serious metal band.
Captured at the 6,000-year-old Kourion Theater in Cyprus, the long-running band and their crew fought hardships like 104-degree temperatures, equipment failures, and needing to bring their own electricity to the ancient venue to deliver a powerful live set.
This also marks the band's first world tour with new vocalist Stu Block, who absolutely nails the band's classic material with a powerful performance that finds him staking his claim as the new frontman of this thrash metal institution.
In the end, Iced Earth's ambition and hard work pay off with a live show the likes of which fans of the band have never seen before (and likely won't see again).
