Something of an anomaly for the Scorpions, Lonesome Crow focuses on deep, dark melodies that sound like a bad combination of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and the Rolling Stones.
Although Michael Schenker provides some strong guitar melodies, the album fails to capture any real interest.
Klaus Meine's voice, which usually has a tenor pitch, is flat and dull.
Neither harmonic nor interesting, Lonesome Crow is one of the Scorpions' weaker releases.
