Japanese jazz singer Karan Jyuri's first full-length album Lover's Jazz is a collection of both old standards and (relatively) recent pop songs such as "Over the Rainbow," Culture Club's "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me," and "You Can't Hurry Love" by the Supremes.
Most of the songs are sparsely orchestrated, relying primarily on Jyuri's voice accompanied by piano, although "Just the Way You Are" and "I Saw the Light" also flirt with club-influenced beats.
