Emerald Web's last album is arguably the duo's best.
The inspiration comes from an unusual juxtaposition of experiences.
Several of the selections were inspired by Voyager's photographs of Neptune and its moons (Emerald Web provided music for a network of television programs on the space probe's rendezvous with Neptune).
At the time this album was made, the composers were also spending a lot of time watching manatees swim in the waterways near their home, enjoying the graceful movements of these endangered marine mammals.
The resulting music is mysterious and otherworldly while conveying a deep appreciation for life on this planet.
