After her English-language sophomore album, "Germany's queen of soul" Joy Denalane returns to German lyrics on her third album, Maureen.
Despite the fact that it's been five years since Born & Raised and nine years since her immensely successful debut, Mamani, Maureen is a direct continuation of her mixture of classic and modern soul.
Co-written with her ex-husband, Max Herre, and produced and arranged by a number of international musicians (among them Steve McKie and Jake One), the album reached number eight in the German album charts.
