Hauntingly beautiful music composed by Meera as a way of renewing her devotion to the god Ram (her music to Krishna is better known, and more often performed.) The music on this two-CD set is hauntingly beautiful, filled with both longing and joy, and likely to seep into the soul.

Splendid vocal performances from Kavita Krishnamurti are supported by gentle but powerful arrangements by Lalit Sen and bracketed by narration (in Hindu on the first disc, English on the second) from Harish Bhimani.

This beautiful music is as likely to set you to dancing as meditating, by the way -- which is, given the dedication to Ram, just as it should be.
