Mr.
Holmes, a 2015 film set in 1947 about an aging Sherlock Holmes trying to both escape and solve "the one that got away," boasts a pensive chamber ensemble score by Emmy winner Carter Burwell (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, No Country for Old Men, Fargo).
Led by strings and woodwinds (clarinet, oboe, and to represent Japanese story elements, shakuhachi), the music also sometimes features piano, harp, or "The Glass Armonica," the latter portrayed onscreen.
Mr.
Holmes [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack] marks Burwell's sixth film collaboration with director Bill Condon.
