Dallas, Texas-based instrumental quartet Polyphia charged from the gates with debut album Muse, a collection of 11 epic compositions, heavy on guitar acrobatics and spirited, high-definition emotional statements.
The album was funded in part by online campaigns, and generous donations from fans helped bring the eclectic, painstakingly produced project to life.
Sewn together with dazzling lead work by dual guitarists Tim Henson and Scott LePage, the album sticks to extreme expressions, be it the epic celebratory romp of a tune like "James Franco" or the more sentimental territory of a track like "Mood Swing.".
