Tuscadero's first official major-label album, My Way or the Highway (The Pink Album was a resequenced and remixed version of a Teen Beat record) shows that there are occasionally benefits to "selling out." There's no denying that the album has a cleaner sound than their previous indie releases, but that actually gives the music punch, since the band is as influenced by glam and bubblegum as they are by punk.
That heady concoction of fizzy pop hooks, teen melodrama, slamming punk, and misfit glee makes My Way or the Highway an intoxicating punk-pop rush.
