The second album from Nigerian-German singer/songwriter Nneka, No Longer at Ease is a politically charged collection of songs which fuses an eclectic combination of Jamaican reggae, '70s soul-funk, drum'n'bass, and electronica.
Inspired by the Chinua Achebe novel of the same name, its 15 tracks, which are given a lo-fi edge thanks to DJ Farhot's understated production, tackle a range of tough subjects, from the Niger Delta struggle to government corruption to religious hypocrisy.
Released in 2008, it features the singles, "Heartbeat" and "Kangpe.".
