The film was considered to be a low point in the career of Barbra Streisand, and the soundtrack is not much better.
Streisand, of course, is in typically strong voice, especially on the title track, but her non-singer co-star Yves Montand also gets a lot of space on the record, making this almost a complete waste.
Of course, it could have been worse: co-star Jack Nicholson also sang in scenes cut from the movie and thankfully not included here.
