The third album from club DJ Takeshi Hanzawa, Oriental Quaint continues his drive of incorporating Brazilian sounds, as well as acid jazz elements, into what's otherwise a straightforward club/house set.
There's a strong focus on ambient sound here, with a constant vibrating drone behind the beats Hanzawa presents, long, flowing female vocals that act more as instruments than a method of lyrical delivery, and the occasional Auto-Tuned passage.
