Circa Survive and Saosin frontman Anthony Green returned in 2016 with his first solo LP in three years, Pixie Queen, his fourth overall.
It continues to explore more reflective emo-pop in contrast to his noisier bands.
Acoustic guitar ruminations like "Will It Be" and "Cellar" offer Green at his sparest, while a full band reinforces the majority of the LP, such as on its affectionate title track.
As for the Pixie Queen's identity, consider that Green's wife appears alone behind a campfire on the album's cover.
