Two months after their debut mini-album, Dragon Ash released this eight-song follow-up, showing a quick maturation for such a young band.
Like one continuous work, each song seems to brood over the same dark thoughts and textures.
But the band has learned the push and pull of the Seattle sound without directly apeing it, opting for lyrical verses which lurch into stunning, thrashabout choruses.
The band also experiments with adding acoustic guitar into the mix.
"People" and "Addiction" are the standout tracks here, but it would be only a glimpse of what would come.
