As on Dyin' to Be Jesus, Pull the Wool finds Mark Critchley trying to fuse punk rock with fab piano stylings.
Each of the songs is a mini-orchestral work, with movements and dynamics (though admittedly the dynamics usually range from loud to really loud).
It's tempting to call Itch a punk rock Meatloaf, but Itch is too wonked out to sustain the comparison for very long.
In the end, it's a lot closer to a revved-up Rocky Horror Picture Show.
It doesn't help that Critchley has a singing voice that can peel paint.
Saying that this is not for all tastes is putting it mildly.
