Sea is the follow-up to Jorge Drexler's masterpiece Frontera.
And although it's not as brilliant as its predecessor, it's certainly a very strong effort.
Drexler is not "just" another songwriter in the Spanish tradition.
He pays an unusual attention to music, not only words.
In this album, loops and electronic sounds are added to his frequent combination of Brazilian, Argentine, and -- of course -- Uruguayan influences, genres, and styles.
Although it's a pretty even album, there are some highlights: the beautiful chacarera "Crece," the ballad "Me Haces Bien," the candombe with scratches in "Tamborero," and the catchy "Horas.".
