Labeled an EP, Joe Budden's Some Love Lost finds the emo-minded rapper pouring his heart out for an LP's worth of emotions, but it also carries an almost-LP's runtime, thanks in no small part to the track "Only Human." This key cut runs nearly nine minutes long and deserves it, dropping revealing lines like "Can't be depression.
Couldn't have it this long/So many secrets only told through a glass of Patron" while guest singer Emanny underlines it all with true Soul.
"Alive" is just as vital, almost as long, and holds much more hope, while the remaining cuts are all gutsy tales of living smart in a world gone wrong, save the epic intro which sets the tone for such an ambitious and excellent EP.
