With emo/pop-punkers the Starting Line on "indefinite hiatus" by 2009 (so its members could either exercise their creative muscles in other projects or focus on family matters), what better time to issue a double-disc, "best-of" live recording? The first disc of Somebody's Gonna Miss Us contains in-concert renditions of all of the group's favorites; the second disc of the set is a DVD documentary and also live performances -- which results in a set that will be a treat for both the ears and eyes of fans.
Name a favorite of the Starting Line, and by golly, you'll find it here -- including their breakthrough hit, "Bedroom Talk," as well as the singles "Island," "Something Left to Give," and the set closer, "Best of Me." And the documentary covers all the bases, from the group's inception and getting signed to an indie, through their snafus with major labels, and ultimately, what may be their last-ever show.
For longtime fans of the Starting Line, all aspects of their career thus far are touched upon and studied throughout Somebody's Gonna Miss Us.
