Nonpoint's heavily sought after independent album Struggle first allowed fans to hear this Florida fourpiece's infectious and original sound.
Melding funk and hardcore with their own vision of what rapmetal should sound like, Nonpoint managed to create a sound that isn't readily comparable to other groups, and this sound propeled them into a contract with MCA Records.
Several of Struggle's songs, including "Victim," "Double Stacked" and the fan favorite "Mindtrip" appeared on their MCA debut Statement, albeit reworked.
Struggle sounds almost exactly like their major label debut, but does include one of the band's best songs in "No Say." Aside from that Struggle is a good listen, but not a must-have accept for diehard fans of the group.
