Roland Appel first gained the attention among the house and electronica communities in the late '90s, with a series of remixes for artists like Miyazawa and Yellow Sox.
His debut 12” single, the brooding “Dark Soldier,” became a fast favorite amongst tastemaker DJs like Gilles Patterson and led to the recording of Appel’s full-length debut, TALK TO YOUR ANGEL, an inventive album abounding with minimal house grooves and soothing, reverb-drenched vocals.
