Although just 25 years old when he recorded That's Life, Anthony B shows a maturity and a sense of history that makes him one of the most relevant voices in reggae.

Listening to Anthony B it's impossible not to think of the late great Peter Tosh as he does a wonderful job covering Tosh's classic "Equal Rights." Anthony B also has a knack for creating sweet melodies as he does on "Fire Dance." Mostly, however, listeners will be struck by Anthony's powerful lyrics that are political without being didactic.

Tracks such as his re-working of his own hit "Fire Pon Di Government" and "Good Life" express a street-level political consciousness that is becoming all too rare in modern reggae.

It's the sort of record that would make Tosh proud.
