The Best and Beyond doesn't feature original versions.
Presumably put together at some point during the 2000s, this features re-recordings from Gino Vannelli and his band.
Dedicated fans might notice that "The Surest Things Can Change," first released on A Pauper in Paradise (1977), even gets a rewrite, but they probably wouldn't give this a second glance since it has the appearance of a basic best-of.
That's part of the disc's problem; while these re-recordings are of decent quality and couldn't possibly rival the originals, one would have to be a keen observer -- and notice the production credits on the back -- to see that it serves a purpose different from a typical compilation.
