Cooling as they grow, Christian rockers Sanctus Real are still a gutsy, powerful group, even if The Dream hits a little harder when it comes to the drums and the guitars.
As far as the soul, leading single "Lay It Down" hits that as hard as ever with its harrowing, and infectious tale of uplift; then there's the title track, which comes with a tinge of middle-aged wistfulness since time on Earth is fleeting, even if there is an afterlife.
Mellowing with age but as robust as ever, The Dream proves that Sanctus Real might very well be Christian rock's version of fine wine.
