Belgian death metal lifers Aborted began their onslaught in 1995, led by vocalist and founder Sven de Caluwé and running through a series of lineup changes as their gruesome catalog grew.
Necrotic Manifesto is the band's eighth proper studio album, and amps up the brutality with nearly computer-like technical drumming and dueling vocals of grizzled death metal growls and anguished screams.
The 14 tracks tackle classic topics of death metal gore and inhumanity with titles like "An Enumeration of Cadavers" and "Of Dead Skin & Decay" barely containing their ugly sentiments behind a wall of chunky guitar riffs and superhuman tempos.
